Profumi notturni · Mantua
Seven perfumes composed for the evening and the hours after it, poured and labelled on Via Pomponazzo.
How Vellanotte wears
Every perfume is poured at 20 to 24% concentration and blended to sit near the skin: you notice it when someone leans in, not across the room — and it is still on your collar the next morning.
Eau de parfum and attar oil · ten to fourteen hours on skin · two days on wool
The wardrobe
From a cold iris for the first drink to a smoke of olibanum and suede for the walk home. Each bottle is 50 ml, poured in runs of three hundred, and comes with a 2 ml sample of another perfume so the next choice is already on your skin.
How a perfume unfolds
Ventiquattro, read from the first spray to the next morning
The bright, volatile part that greets you and leaves first: bergamot pressed in Reggio Calabria, lemon zest and a pinch of pink pepper. It is the reason a perfume smells different on the card than on the wrist.
Bergamot · lemon zest · pink pepperWhat the perfume is really about, once the citrus has gone. In Ventiquattro the heart is sea salt, a little Damask rose and orris — soft, mineral, a skin rather than a bouquet.
Sea salt · Damask rose · orrisThe heaviest molecules, which hold everything above them and stay in a scarf for days: white musk, a trace of olibanum smoke and vetiver from Haiti.
White musk · olibanum · vetiverThe families
Every Vellanotte perfume belongs to one family. Start with the one you already reach for, and the finder will show you how deep to go.
